I am a third-year in journalism at OSU. I am also the editor of BuffaloBillsDraft.com, an NFL featured columnist for Bleacher Report and the John Oller Special Projects Reporter for The Lantern. I am excited for the opportunity to help Columbus North International School students learn about journalism and become better writers, while simultaneously gaining valuable experience as an editor and earning internship credit.
¡Hola, mis queridos! I’m starting my third year here at Ohio State after returning from a summer abroad. I spent the past few months in Spain embracing the culture and diving into Castellano (or Spanish). I really love linguistics and language in general, but my true passion is journalism. I currently work at Ohio State’s student newspaper, the Lantern, and I’m excited to get started with another publication. I never had a high school newspaper, so I’m really looking forward to starting one since I never had the opportunity myself. You’ll also find me hanging out in the Short North, cheering on the Buckeyes, and making a list of places I want to travel.
I’m from Shenzhen, China. Currently a fourth-year in journalism and minor in clinical psychology, I got into this field because I found people interesting and my dream used to be carrying cameras for National Geography. Compare to other native American students, I experienced many obstacles in this learning process, but like everything else, it gets better when you do it more. I am currently a news intern at WOSU, both TV and radio. I am very excited to be part of this internship. I can bring more diversity to this group and I am looking forward to this mutual learning experiences.”
I’m a sophomore studying French, Linguistics and International Studies at OSU. I signed up for the course because I thought it would be a great opportunity to not only use my French in a real-life situation, but also to improve it while helping and working with the students of CNIS. I am most looking forward to working with native French speakers and helping them progress in making the school newspaper.
